Low-code crypto payments: what it means and what works today

Low-code crypto payments explained: a low-code way to accept crypto with less integration code. What is on the Qvard roadmap and what works today.

Low-code crypto payments means accepting crypto with a small amount of integration code instead of building the whole flow yourself. Qvard’s Low-Code SDK is on the roadmap and not released yet. This guide explains the concept and the working path that needs only a few server calls today.

What low-code means for payments

A low-code approach replaces a large custom integration with a few standard calls and a ready front-end element. The goal is to reach a working payment flow faster, with less code to maintain.

Status: the Low-Code SDK is on the roadmap

The Qvard Low-Code SDK is not released yet. This article does not present it as available. The snippet in the media is a roadmap preview of the planned call.

What works today

Today the flow needs two server-side steps: create the payment with POST /api/v1/payment and the x-api-key header, then handle the webhook with id and status. The customer pays on the hosted checkout page that the redirectUrl points to.

POSTyour-webhook-url
x-api-key: sk_live_…

{ "id": "order_1024", "status": "paid" }

A minimal integration

One endpoint on your server creates the payment and returns the redirectUrl. One endpoint receives the webhook and updates the order. Together they are the whole integration for a basic shop.

// ROADMAP preview: the SDK is not released yet.
QvardCheckout.open({ amount: 149.99, currency: "USD", orderId: "order_1024" });

What you still write yourself

Order storage, the decision about when to create a payment, and the handling of statuses. These parts are the same with a future SDK, so the time spent now is not lost.

When to wait for the SDK

If you want the payment window inside your page with minimal code, wait for the roadmap release. If you need payments now, the two-endpoint flow is the working low-code path.

FAQ

Is there a low-code crypto payment SDK from Qvard today?

No. The Low-Code SDK is on the roadmap. Today the flow uses the API, the hosted checkout page and the webhook.

How many endpoints do I need?

Two: one to create the payment and one to receive the webhook.

Do I need to write front-end code?

Only a button or a link that sends the customer to the redirectUrl.

Can I test it before launch?

Yes. Create a demo invoice and check the webhook result.
